Turns out it was the plug wires and an exhaust leak. Way to go team!

I did that with a Jeep 4.0. Put in new plugs and wires and did the wires all in one shot instead of one at a time. With no wires on I went “oh shit”, but then noticed the firing order cast into the manifold so I went off that. Turns out that wasn’t the correct firing order. It would start fine, but run really crappy and rough. I don’t remember even trying to give it gas it was making the Jeep vibrate so badly that it was obvious something went horribly wrong.
